Can you imagine your car without a car air conditioning provision? The answer is no. With the changing climate with extreme humidity, your travel can be made sweat-free and enjoyable only with AC provision. This article has given a deep insight into the working and various parts of the car air conditioning to clear all your doubts.
Parts Of Car Air Conditioning System
The car air conditioning comprises the same parts as our house air condoning possess. But since the car environment is different, the AC parts will be smaller and with few modifications. The following are the parts of the car AC. They are:
Compressor
AC refrigerant
Condenser
Expansion valve
Evaporator
Orifice tube
Receiver dryer
AC Inline filter
Accumulator
Compressor
Like a human’s vital part is heart, a car air conditioning system’s vital part is a compressor. The compressor is the one that regulates proper pressure flow to the refrigerant, which converts the gaseous refrigerant to liquid form. After this conversion only, cooling air circulates inside the car.
Ac Refrigerant
The refrigerants take either gaseous or liquid form, which depends on the outside temperature. If the temperature is low, the refrigerant will be in vapor form, and when the temperature is high, it will be liquid form.
Condenser
The condenser helps in adjusting the cool airflow inside the car. Condensers are a very small device, which sends the condense force from the radiator. If you lower or increase the cool airflow, the airflow sent by the compressor will be controlled by a condenser.
Expansion valve
These valves will eliminate the pressure from liquid refrigerants to transform the liquid state to the vapor state to the evaporator. By doing so, the air will be cool else, and if pressure is high, the air will be warm.
Evaporator
The evaporator will be fitted behind the car air conditioning vent. The job of this part is to convert the heat from the car and convert them into cool air by changing the liquid refrigerant to vapor. This cooling can be experienced through the fan.
Orifice Tube
This is a tube that controls the flow of pressure in the refrigerant liquid before it is passed to the evaporator.
Receiver Dryer
In a car air conditioning, this dryer is inserted between the compressor and the evaporator. The reason for this dryer is sometimes the refrigerant liquid flows back into the compressor instead of the evaporator. This will damage the compressor. By using the refrigerant dryer between the compressor and the evaporator, the liquid will be converted into vapor and then sent to the compressor.
Ac Inline Filter
This filter helps in filtering out air and blows out pure air.
Accumulator
It is the part that holds the refrigerant bag.
Working On a Car Air Conditioning System
Generally, in all air-conditioning systems; the liquid is converted into a cooling vapor after the process of heat absorption. Similarly, in a car AC, this conversion principle is done by a refrigerant. It absorbs the heat in the liquid and circulating the cooling vapors and Find the professional car air conditioning system as a whole air conditioning performs by cycling through the process of liquid-vapor conversion, for providing cooling air.
Conclusion
With the right knowledge about the car air conditioning system, you will get to know if there is an issue with it or not. In case of a problem, you can easily locate it and go for its repair. Besides, To ensure that the car’s air conditioning is working properly, it becomes important to go for regular servicing. Car servicing also involves ac repair and maintenance.
